A leading retailer is looking for a forecaster to analyse open purchase order data and work with a team of Supply Chain specialists in order to produce accurate short term forecasts for a busy warehouse team. The role will include analysing open purchase order information, reviewing delivery bookings, pulling information from expeditors and freight forwarders in order to enable successful labour planning within the inbound function. This head office role will be responsible for assisting in pulling together and reporting on the critical path process of purchase order management, delivering meaningful data to the merchandising and buying teams. Product lead times vary and Imports account for nearly 50% of the inbound product flow.
This new role will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to produce all forecasts and departmental reporting using advanced Excel and Access skills. A high level of commercial understanding and acumen is essential and candidates with a pure Analyst or IT background will not be considered, this is an urgent requirement my client would like an immediate start.
